NESA Pittsburgh's 4th Annual Eagle Career Day is March 16th, 2019

On Saturday, March 16th, 2019, NESA Pittsburgh will hold the 4th Annual Eagle Career Day. Eagle and Life Scouts and their parents can learn about the extensive education opportunities that are available to them. Lecturers will provide attendees with information about college selection, financial aid, careers in the military, and career pathways via vocational education.

We all know Scouting’s goal is to prepare young people for life, but does it work?

Scouting was put to the test over the course of three years, when a research team from Tufts University worked with the Boy Scouts of America’s Cradle of Liberty Council to measure the character attributes of both Scouts and non-Scouts — all with a goal of better understanding the character development of youth as it was happening.

The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program

The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program (CESRP) continued its progress since the last newsletter. On September 25th, 2017, we held our first annual CESRP Roundtable with the goal of sharing the best practices of organizations who have already begun the process of implementing a program in their organizations.

NESA Pittsburgh's 2nd Annual Eagle Career Day

On Saturday March 11th, 33 Eagle and Life Scouts and their parents learned just how extensive their education opportunities are during the 2nd Annual Eagle Career Day. Lecturers provided attendees with information about college selection, financial aid, careers in the Military, and career pathways via vocational education. The University of Pittsburgh provided the Katz School of Business as a venue, and Pitt rounded out the day with a terrific lunch which was followed by a panel discussion.
