On behalf of the Laurel Highlands Council – Boy Scouts of America, a fellow Eagle and the chairman of our local chapter of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA Pittsburgh) I am pleased to invite you to attend our annual General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, May 21st at the Westin Convention Center, 1000 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA.

Every Eagle Scout in the Pittsburgh region is welcome.

June 1, 2019 is Beaver Day at Heritage and we need your help!!

Remember all the time spent at camp having fun, learning new skills, making friends? It is time to do it all over again.

NESA Pittsburgh will be helping Heritage Reservation get set up for the summer.

June 1, 2019 is Beaver Day at Heritage and we need your help!!

We need help with different tasks that need to be completed before camp opens in June. Please come to camp and have fun, maybe learn a new skill and make new friends!! We will meet at the Indy dinning hall at 8:30 to get our assignments.

We all know Scouting’s goal is to prepare young people for life, but does it work?

Scouting was put to the test over the course of three years, when a research team from Tufts University worked with the Boy Scouts of America’s Cradle of Liberty Council to measure the character attributes of both Scouts and non-Scouts — all with a goal of better understanding the character development of youth as it was happening.

The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program

The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program (CESRP) continued its progress since the last newsletter. On September 25th, 2017, we held our first annual CESRP Roundtable with the goal of sharing the best practices of organizations who have already begun the process of implementing a program in their organizations.
