The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program

The Corporate Eagle Scout Recruiting Program (CESRP) continued its progress since the last newsletter. On September 25th, 2017, we held our first annual CESRP Roundtable with the goal of sharing the best practices of organizations who have already begun the process of implementing a program in their organizations. Specifically, updates were provided by Matt Delorenzo of MSA and Scott Cunningham of PNC Wealth Management. The audience of nearly thirty interested parties included some of the largest corporations, health care and service providers in the Pittsburgh area.

Ron Herring, one of our NESA Board Members, concluded the meeting with a special key note address titled: “The Value of Eagle Scout Values.” Of particular note, was how the Scout Law is so closely aligned with the value statements of many of the organizations in attendance, and that recruiting Eagle Scouts will enhance other recruiting programs.

If you would like to begin a CESRP program in your organization, or would like more information, please contact Ron Herring at RonHerring@nesa-pgh.org. A transcript of the presentation can be found here.
